Dudley Gimpel was born in South Dakota and raised in southern Minnesota. He began playing saxophone
at age 10, but discovered Jimi Hendrix in 1968 and has been smitten with guitar ever since. Dudley was an original member of The Rockin' Hollywoods, a Minneapolis Show Band and was inducted with
them to the Minnesota Rock & Country Hall Of Fame in 2008. In the early 1980's he moved to Studio City, California and worked with many famous Artists from the LA studio scene, and touring
musicians from around the World. Having built his first guitar at the age of 16, and has become well known as a designer of award winning instruments, and luthier to the stars. In 1984 Dudley went to
work for the Ernie Ball company in SLO. He has played an important role in the design of Music Man instruments over the past 30 years, and also played guitar with numerous local ensembles. Currently
he is ripping it up with The Mojo Combo, a 4 piece collection of local steeped-in-the-Blues addicts, and the Back Pages band, covering a wide variety of classic to modern Rock.
